Umai Nihongo no Inugoya

A kennel dedicated to the breeding of excellent Japanese dogs! These dogs are the native dog breeds originating from Japan:
- The Kai Ken
- The Shikoku
- The Ainu Dog
- The Akita Inu
- The Shiba Inu

As well as several breeds that, while their heritage may include breeds originating from other countries, were developed in Japan, by the Japanese:
- The Japanese Chin
- The Japanese Spitz
- The Tosa Inu

We are also supporting the Kishu Inu and the Japanese Terrier to be available here on FP!

NOTICE:
We are NOT breeding the Akita! The Akita Inu is the original breed that was developed in Japan; the Akita, as we know it here in America, is often called the "American-type Akita" in other countries, as it was developed by Americans following World War II! It's larger and has some differences in body type from the Akita Inu, hence why many other countries now recognize it as a different breed altogether!

For this reason, Umai will only breed the original Akita Inu. Make no mistake, the American Akita is a lovely dog, but we pride ourselves on breeding dogs that were originally developed by the Japanese! Thank you very much! =)
