The Wind in the Woods

I chose the career of breeder and I specialize in border collies, bearded collies, briards, german shepherds, eurasiers, american cocker spaniels, maremma sheepdogs, cavalier king charles spaniels, leonbergers, malteses and hovawarts.

My project is to raise 24 HH lala dogs, with interesting colors, exclusively from store bought animals.

At the same time, I'll be trying to breed for the specific trait of intelligence.

I will also try to avoid inbreeding, meaning that males and females that I couple to one another don't have any common names among the six ancestors that show up on their pedigrees.

Also, I breed my non 24 HH dogs for the first time when they reach level 10, pairing them to partners that are at least level 15. That way I am slowly, but steadily, increasing my dogs multiplier. For the same goal, my 24 HH males are bred only after day 100, when they have finished their competitive career, and 24 HH females on day 98 and 110. My bitches produce only two litters, while my males are used for breeding not more than three times.

When my dogs are 24 HH, I start working seriously in levelling them up, not only to increase their litter's multipliers, but also to reach the highest achievements in the performer track. In the meanwhile, I am already striving to become a high reputation breeder, with the aim of completing the progenitor track without giving away puppies for free just for the sake of getting the next medal.

I don't sell adults, all dogs that make part of my lines retire in my own kennel. I will only sell 24 HH lala puppies and young dogs.

15/02/2014 - In a single day, all the following happened: first, after weeks of searching and saving, I finally got the feisty black pony into my critter pasture; second, I had my first litters of briards; third, I bred my first solid blue german shepherd puppy.

18/02/2014 - I welcome the little brown pony into my critter pasture; with that, my quest for the three rare ponies is over.

20/02/2014 - I breed my first EEEE german shepherd puppy, which is also the first one with her coloring in my kennel: she is cream with blue saddle and mask.

21/08/2014 - My first border collie showing a saddle was born today: he is cream and white (Irish) with chocolate saddle.

26/08/2014 - After countless visits to the critter farm, today I finally got my own moustached persian.

04/09/2014 - The american cocker spaniels become the 5th specialization of my kennel. Now that my other breeds are somewhat developped, I could not resist any longer the variety of colors, the nice markings and the fluffy long ears of these little dogs. I will raise my own cocker lines from the six couples I bought today from the game store.

01/04/2015 - The breed boost at the Drovers Casso in March was the gorgeous bearded collie. I participated with my doggies and I received the total amount of 157.000 FPD for registering, for bonus and prizes.

12/02/2017 - I start taking advantage of my extra property by adding a new breed, the sixth one, to my kennel: I had tried them on my side account and I liked them so much that i wanted to have them in my main account, so today I buy 12 couples of eurasiers from the game store. I also add a new medium critter pasture, to be able to hosting more critters, a couple of new scent hurdles training areas and a small pond.

13/02/2017 - I make some more changes to my kennel: I move my american cocker spaniels to my extra property and build a few more training areas there too. On my main land I build a couple of gardens

17/02/2017 - I register my first eurasiers to their casso, the companions.

19/02/2017 - I finish building on my extra property: for now, I took the space to plant a few meadows and tree groves, along with a basic kennel for future dogs for sale.

24/02/2017 - It's been a long time since I last tried to sell a puppy, but this morning I gave out a solid isabella lala female german shepherd for 50.000 FPD, the highest amount that's ever been offered for one of my puppies. And with that, I earned the Yellow Progenitor Ribbon reputation.

01/10/2017 - So this is the day I have been playing for! It took me more than four years, but today I finally bred my first 24 HH puppy! It's a chocolate male bearded collie, I call him Dominick and he will be my first dog living to 100 days of age.

06/11/2011 - Today, for the first time, I bring a leather leash out of my attic. And I give it to Dominick, because today he reaches level 25 and he is going to be my first dog trying a competitive career beyond that level.

12/11/2017 - Dominick reaches level 30 today and becomes the first dog of my kennel to taste a meal of canned food.

13/11/2017 - Last night Dominick was extraordinarily focussed and overcame all the challenges like a champ, and today he became my very first dog reaching the Excellent title.

11/12/2017 - Dominick reaches level 50. And with the saleof a german shepherd puppy that was weaned today, I made my first step towards getting the Bronze Progenitor Medal.

18/12/2017 - Dominick turns into a World Champion in his sport.

25/12/2017 - On Christmas day Dominick starts wearing a designer collar and tastes his first organic meal, because he has reached level 60.

09/01/2018 - Dominick reaches level 70.

15/01/2018 - Dominick concludes today his competitive career, at level 73, with the title of World Champion. From now he will be available for studs.

25/02/2018 - It's born Moana, a chocolate and white (Irish) female bearded collie who is, after Dominick, the second 24 HH dog produced by my kennel.

14/03/2018 - It was born Farro, my third 24 HH bred puppy, it's another bearded collie.

22/03/2018 - Dominick had its first breeding and gave me the first litter in my kennel with a competition experience above 1.2x. This is also the first litter with a quality above 200, out of five of different breeds, required to reach the Bronze Progenitor Medal.

29/03/2018 - Got myself a nice silver laced wyandotte hen.

31/03/2018 - And today it's the turn of the golden laced wyandotte hen to move into my critter pasture.

02/04/2018 - A border collie litter is the first birth of my kennel's 14th generation.

12/04/2018 - My kennel produces its fifth 24 HH puppy, the first one that is not a bearded collie: Kelvin is a maskless silver and blue saddle male german shepherd.

16/06/2018 - After her second breeding, at the age of 110 days, Moana becomes today my highest level retired dog: she reached level 67.

06/07/2018 - On the day of my kennel's fifth aniversary I had my first stud requests (from Farro, the bearded collie) and I made the last sale, out of twenty required puppies sold to different players before weaning, I needed for the next achievement on the progenitor track - now the hardest half of the task, to breed five litters of different breeds with a quality of at least 200: at the moment I have only one.

07/07/2018 - After long months of work, today I concluded the critter friend achievement track: I earnt the Friend of Critters reputation.

22/07/2018 - The first birth of my kennel's 15th generation is a border collie litter.

10/08/2018 - 2 out of 5! At the age of 101 days and level 71, Kelvin becomes the dad of my first german shepherd litter with a quality above 200. Now I need only 3 more of different breeds to get my next achievement on the progenitor track.

12/08/2018 - Trisha retires at level 69 on day 110, after her second breeding, and becomes my new highest level retired dog.

15/08/2018 - Briards are my 4th breed to produce a 24 HH puppy: today was born a fawn with steel blue sable male that I called Tibor.

29/08/2018 - New score for the highest price someone has ever paid for one of my puppies: I sold a Faded blue and white (piebald) male bearded collie with an experience multiplier of 1.428x for 450,000 FPD.

25/09/2018 - 3 out of 5! I am talking about the number of litters of different breeds with a quality of at least 200 that I need to get the Bronze Progenitor Medal. Today I bred my first border collie litter that meets the requirements.

09/10/2018 - The 16th generation of my kennel starts coming out, with a border collie litter taking the lead, as usual.

11/10/2018 - Time for a new breed at The Wind in the Woods. I have recently realized that I need at least ten different breeds to reach the top of the progenitor career, and I only have six, so in the next days I will be adding four more. I started today with the Maremma Sheepdogs, that will be trained in obedience. Since there's no color variety in this breed, they can be only white, I will not have as many of them as I usually do for each breed and they will share the kennel with another flock guardian breed, to be decided in the next future. With these new breeds I'll try a different strategy: I will give priority to improving the xp multiplier first, rather than the number of HH, as I've been doing so far, so these dogs will only be bred at the end of their compettitive careers.

16/10/2018 - I made some more changes in the Breeze in the Woods, my extra property, to accomodate the Little Companions kennel, and the cavalier king charles spaniels start marching in. They will be trained in obedience.

06/07/2019 - The Wind in the Woods has been around for six years now.

29/10/2019 - The Leonbergers become my second flock guardians breed, from today they share the kennel with the Maremma Sheepdogs.

03/11/2019 - The Little Companions kennel from today hosts also my first Malteses. With this I should be done with new breeds for a long time.

14/11/2019 - As a side effect of my main projects, today I earnt the Yellow Diversifier Ribbon.

19/11/2019 - Great achievement today: I was awarded the Bronze Performer Medal.

29/11/2019 - Tibor becomes my first briard earning the Best of Breed recognition, and briards become my second breed that achieves it.

04/12/2019 - Gaia, the german shepherd, is my first dog receiving the Universal Champion title.

08/12/2019 - first step towards my next achievement in the performer career: today I got 10 out of 10 required dogs reaching Continental Champion.

13/12/2019 - Álibi, a bearded collie, is weaned today and becomes my first dog with a multiplier above 1.500 (1.522x, to be precise).

15/12/2019 - Most expensive puppy sold ever: a bearded collie with a multiplier of 1.522x was bought today for 600.000 credits.

16/12/2019 - My first litter of briards with a quality above 200 was born today. Now I just need another breed to reach the same goal and I can get my first medal in the progenitor career.

25/12/2019 - Lee, a Male bearded collie that was weaned today, surpasses Álibi as the dog with the highest multiplier in my kennel, 1.553x.

26/12/2019 - The second pick of Lee's litter was sold today for 650.000 FPD, new highest score for my kennel's sales.

19/01/2020 - There was no longer enough space in my kennel to accomodate also the new foxes, so today I made some changes to my property: the most relevant was the foundation of Joyland, my newest critter farm.

27/02/2020 - Last night Toffee got Best of Breed in american cocker spaniels, my third breed achieving this result.

09/03/2020 - Silver Performer Medal today! Also got the Best of Breed for my 4th different breed with Talco, the maremma sheepdog, despite he is a first generation dog only.

10/04/2020 - Finally got my Bronze Progenitor Medal, therefore I welcome the Copper Pegasus into my critter pasture.

19/04/2020 - My first litter of maremma sheepdogs.

04/06/2020 - In real life I got myself a lovely female puppy of hovawart a few months ago, and ever since I've been wishing to raise this gorgeous breed here. This year's FP summer event is the last excuse I needed, so today I bought from the market 10 couples of hovawarts to bless. I had to make some changes in my property to make them fitin my kennel: I demolished one of my critter pastures and upgraded another one to critter town.

19/01/2021 - Éclair is replaced by Iris, another bearded collie, as my dog with the highest multiplier, 1.575. While her litter siebling was sold for the highest price someone has ever paid for a Woods puppy, 670.001 FPD.

08/02/2021 - Weaned today the pup sold for my new highest value: somebody offered 1.000.000 FPD for a red and White (irish) with steel blue sable female bearded collie with an experience multiplier of 1.552x.

10/02/2021 - Soprana, the hovawart, earnt Best of Breed today. Hovawarts, my most recent project, became my 5th breed reaching this achievement. Also, I have a new puppy with the best experience multiplier ever (1.595x), it was born today and it's Zafir, the bearded collie.

02/04/2021 - New neighbors in the critter town: they are the Rhode Island Red Hen and the Australorp Hen.

06/07/2021 - It's the aniversary of The Wind in the Woods, it started eight years ago.

02/08/2021 - This particular critter has been missing in my kennel until now, but finally I got The Wind in the Woods an EEGEW.

19/09/2021 - At the age of 110 days and after his 14th breeding, Dominick has retired at level 73. I am remarking it just because he was my very first bred 24HH lala dog, back in October 2017, though I have kept him till today for stud. It was for me a great achievement because Dominick came from a line entirely bred at my kennel, without inbreeding, up from first generation.
