About Kite
You may call me Kite, obviously. But I'm also well known as Spirant, Kumoulogy and Nuri - so feel free to take your pick. I'm 24, and live in the beautiful state of Kentucky within the US. I'm generally easy to get along with, but I won't deny that I'm easy to annoy. So long as you act like you have a brain all shall be well. I identify myself as genderfluid, otherwise known as "genderqueer", as well as pansexual. I enjoy role-playing in my spare time, and have a steadily growing collection of about 35+ characters, most being human/humanoid and are predominantly overrun by males. I spend my free time writing short stories if I’m not role-playing, and curling up with a good book (when I can find one that holds my interest!). I’m a Korean-pop junkie (but will listen to just about any genre of music, excluding rap, most country and metal), have an unhealthy obsession with zombie movies and videos games (Especially Left 4 Dead/Left 4 Dead 2 and the Resident Evil series), and have been known to dabble about from time to time in MMORPG’s (at the moment Aion only).
The Real Life Dogs
This is Maymie, most commonly referred to as May, an American Eskimo. This pretty little ball of fluff landed in my lap back in May of 2006 after we rescued her from the local humane society. Prior to us gaining ownership of her, she witnessed abuse to her previous owners, as well as to herself. It was neighbors calling in that a group of men had thrown her from a second story apartment window that ultimately ended up with her being rescued. When we first received her she instantly glued herself to my side. We’ve been inseparable since. Some might consider her a handful – she’s wary of men, she won’t allow strangers to approach me or else she gets terribly defensive and possessive of me (and is still that way with my family members at times), she’s prone to bouts of separation anxiety when I can’t be around, and if it’s not my commands she refuses to listen. But for me she’s an angel; well mannered, adores going on walks, mock-wrestling and cuddling. She’s the definition of spoiled, and I treat her more like my child than a dog.
The sisters, Imari (on the left) and Spot (on the right) – they are Japanese Spitz x Coonhound mixes. The result of an accidental breeding, we’ve had these two since they were born, and they go nowhere without one another. The two compliment each other well – Spot is very domineering and prone to being aggressive about a lot of things (she’s the “alpha” amongst our dogs), while Imari is petrified of everything and very meek – yet in the end they’re both huge love bugs who enjoy nothing more than snuggling together or hogging up all the attention they can get.
Tiny, the Miniature Chihuahua. I received her for my 15th birthday, so that would make her ten years old this year. She’s still a bundle of energy despite her age, and loves nothing more than playing fetch and chasing the other dogs around the yard (or yapping and biting the ankles of guests, keke). She’s meek with other people, but has a fearless personality with other dogs (and will even challenge Spot, despite their huge size difference).
Molly, infamously known as “Worm” for her love of digging, the Dachshund x Chihuahua mix. Energy, energy, energy! That’s all I can say. It takes a lot to tire this girl out, and she’ll run and bark for hours on end (darn that bark – it’s torture! I swear she doesn’t know the meaning of the words “be quiet!”). As mentioned, she loves to dig, which earned her the nickname of “Worm”. She’s the biggest scaredy-cat in the world, and will run and hide from
everything that makes a sudden noise or movement, and avoids other people like the plague. Molly is also the worst dog to sleep with – she’s a bed hog, and nearly impossible to get to move. Guess who doesn’t sleep with me at night?
