About Us!

Southern Skies Border Collie Ranch is a breed-focused kennel founded in March 2015 that is home to the quickest Border Collies on this side of the globe! We strive to produce dogs that perform reliably and impressively, hoping to one day spread our name far and wide. To us, our dogs are our legacy, with each pup having a fighting chance to become the next champion if given the proper training and care.

We only focus on our Breeding Project and will likely not expand to any more breeds (aside from the mini projects I'm making for my parents haha). When it comes to training, we breed each line for a specific sport so we can produce pups that perform well. See below to find out what sports we breed for. We also will be trying to breed every border collie color for fun!

When breeding, we normally wait until age 88 and 100 unless we are breeding diversifier/progenitor puppies (Note, my first few generations will be bred for the first time at a younger age so that I can build up a good amount of dams and studs). Generally, we will put up any dams or studs that we no longer have a need for. Studs are normally the only ones we put up, as we replace them if they produce a son that has better stats than them.

We rarely sell our dogs outside litters. Our motto is once a dog ends up in our kennel, this is their forever home! Regardless of age, color, or stats, every dog has a purpose here and can achieve greatness! Also, from time to time, we may poke through rescues to see if we can give any Collies a home!

We will normally name all pups kept/sold in our litters. You are under no obligation to keep these names if you buy/reserve a pup! We just do this as it can be a headache to come up with names sometimes!

We watch our dogs very closely and if one goes up for sale, we are very likely to buy them back! Please do note that if you repeatedly reserve/buy our pups just to resell them, we will be hesitant to sell to you in the future.

Out of Kennel Breeding!

We have our Studs idly up as they are a form of profit for our kennel! However, if a stud is locked and not up for OKB, they're likely on their last few breedings and those are planned out separately. We usually only breed to our dams with those breedings but feel free to reach out if you have a high-level dam you want to breed. We restrict them to high-level dams as those breedings are very valuable. Their card (when the cards are finished) will also be moved to avoid confusion.
