Little pups jump around an elderly brown and white Siberian Husky. "Settle down pups, the moon is out and the sun is gone. It's time for you to rest those bodies of yours." she nuzzles them. "But Ami," they whine, "we want to run and play." "How about a story to calm you down hmm?" The pups lay down and listen with anticipation.
"Well, many moons ago, I was a home dog. I had a nice little family, but something was missing, a friend. Then one day, a beautiful white Siberian Husky, came prowling around my house. I met him and he told me his name was BladeRunner, but I could call him Blade. I told him my name was Book of Lightning, but everyone called me Book. Soon we were always together, his friends joked and called us the 'B team'.
We were just friends. But soon we became more. We had pups, one of which was named Jupiter. But he left us. I ran from my home to be with Blade. We decided we wanted to form some kind of pack for our family. But we weren't having pups. So I told Blade to breed with another wolf, just this once, and start a new line. He bred with a Siberian name Northern Lights. They had one pup. His name was Whitewolf. Northern Lights left, and I adopted Whitewolf as my own.
We were all happy, but one day we were caught by a kind human. He made our pack more comfortable in something he called 'Basketball Camp'. So we call our pack Basketball Camp.
And so pups, this is how you came to be, we invite other Sibes into our pack and make them our family." Book looked down at the pups at her feet, asleep. She nuzzles them and howls one long jubilant howl.
