I am a 25 year old,Asian Indian woman.I am in US for the time as my hubby is doing his PhD from here and will return once he completes his post doc.I love all animals but due to the uncertainity of our time period here we don't have any pets so any virtual pets that I have supplements my need for real pets and is thus invaluable.
I live in the United States in the Great Lakes Region. I have a white Boxer, 3 cats and a rabbit in real life. I also have an adult son who still lives at home with me.
I've been playing Furry Paws since Sept. 24, 2006, and really enjoy the game. My greatest triumph was getting a great Staffordshire Bull Terrier to level 87 before he retired. I am trying to achieve that again, but am somewhat stymied what wth all the monster stat boosts being held. However, I will continue my quest!
German Shepherds are highly intelligent, agile and well-suited to active working environments. They are often deployed in various roles such as police work, guarding, Search and Rescue, Therapy and in the military. They can also be found working as guide dogs for the blind. Despite their suitability for such work, German Shepherds can also make loyal and loving pets inside the home. They enjoy being around people and other animals. German Shepherds are well-suited to obedience, with advanced & prestigious titles available to test both the handler and dog in various schutzhund trials.
The German Shepherd is an extremely intelligent Breed which comes about in three main bloodines:German Austrian, Norwegian Shiloh and American English.
History
The breed was originated by Captain Max von Stephanitz in 1899. He founded the SV, "Schaeferhunde Verein".This is now the most powerful single breed registry in the World. On average in Germany alone, 22,000 German Shepherd pups are born each year. His goal was to breed an all-purpose working dog. The first registered GSD was Horand v. Grafrath referred to as SV 1.
Von Stephanitz admired the landrace herding dogs of his native German Empire, and believed they had the potential to be all-purpose working dogs. Additionally, he was aware of the declining need for herding dogs and believed that the working abilities of the breed would decline unless it was put to other uses.
Temperament
Well-bred GSDs have powerful jaws and strong teeth, can develop a strong sense of loyalty and obedience, and can be trained to attack and release on command. Poorly bred GSDs such as those from puppy mills can be fearful, overly aggressive, or both. GSDs (like Pit Bulls, Rottweilers and Dobermans), are often perceived as inherently dangerous, and are the target of Breed Specific Legislation in several countries. If a GSD is violent or aggressive, it is often due to the combination of poor breeding and the owner's lack of control, training and socialization. GSDs are often used as guard, seeing eye and police dogs, more specifically Search and Rescue, Narcotics dogs, bomb scenting dogs, which further contributes to the perception of being a dangerous breed. However, many GSDs function perfectly well as search dogs and family pets - roles where aggressive behavior is unsuitable. If a GSD is aggressive it is the owner's fault(lack of discipline or socialization), just like any other breed of dog.
GSDs' sense of loyalty and emotional bond with their owners is almost impossible to describe. They have a keen intuition or bond which is highly in tune with their owner/handler. Separation trauma is one reason they are now used less often in guide dog roles, since guide dogs are typically trained from puppy hood by one owner/handler prior to final placement with their employer, ie new owner. This is simply avoidable by proper socialization, continuing stimulation to all types of situations, with people, in and out of traffic and better guiding of their new handler/owner into the relationship with their new dog.

The Doberman Pinscher (alternatively spelled Dobermann in many countries) or Doberman is a breed of domestic dog. Doberman Pinschers are among the most common of pet breeds, and the breed is well known as an intelligent, alert, and loyal companion dog. Although once commonly used as guard dogs, watch dogs, or police dogs, this is less common today. In many countries, Doberman Pinschers are one of the most recognizable breeds, in part because of their actual roles in society, and in part because of media stereotyping . Careful breeding has improved the disposition of this breed, and the modern Doberman Pinscher is an energetic and lively breed ideally suited for companionship and family life.
History
Doberman Pinschers were first bred in Germany around 1890 by Karl Friedrich Louis Dobermann. After his death in 1894, the Germans named the breed Dobermann-pinscher in his honor, but a half century later dropped the pinscher on the grounds that this German word for terrier was no longer appropriate. The British did the same thing a few years later. Dobermann was a tax collector who frequently traveled through many bandit-infested areas, and needed a protection dog to guard him in any situation that might arise. He set out to breed a new type of dog that, in his opinion, would be the perfect combination of strength, loyalty, intelligence, and ferocity. (He also worked with dogs as a second job, giving him access to dogs for breeding.) Later, Otto Goeller and Philip Gruening continued to develop the breed.
Temperament
The Doberman Pinscher has been used as a protection dog, due to its intelligence, loyalty, and ability to physically challenge human aggressors. Those familiar with the breed consider well-bred and properly socialized Doberman Pinschers to be excellent pets and companions, suitable for families with other dog breeds, excellent with young children, and even cats. The modern Doberman Pinscher is well known as a loyal and devoted family member.

Avera GBxC.Ch.Fells Eagle In Flight*** (yH2C1)F=H.
From the corner of your eye, something gleams brightly in the light. As you turn, the gleam fades. Perhaps you should investigate further?
You kneel down on the ground, peering curiously at the strange object. It appears to be a gold-colored piece of rock. You brush away the dirt and pick up the strange object, realizing that isn't gold after all, but it appears to be very old. There appear to be deliberately carved depressions in the rock, almost as if it was once part of a statue...
Suddenly, a white rabbit jumps out in front of you and races off. Cinnamon Swirl D/V zooms after it, dragging you along with her!
You hang on grimly to the leash. Cinnamon Swirl D/V appears to be catching up on the rabbit, and eventually manages to pounce on it! But, surprisingly, the rabbit disappears in a puff of white smoke. Your dog sneezes while managing to look quite confused. After the smoke has disappeared, you realize that Cinnamon Swirl D/V has learned a lesson... of some sort.
Congratulations! Houdini GB has gained 1 point in agility!
Congratulations! The Good Shepherd GB/H has gained 1 point in strength!
Congratulations! Cinnamon Swirl D/V has gained 1 point in speed!
Congratulations! Alexander's Quest D has gained 1 point in stamina!
Your pup pounces happily on the acorn. The acorn, having quite a smooth surface, slips out from between your dog's paws and bounces a few feet away. Your dog thinks this is quite a fun game, and pounces on the acorn again. The acorn slips once more, but this time at an angle that results in it colliding directly with your dog's head. Ouch! Your dog won't be playing with THAT toy again. It bites back! Your dog grows more experienced by an integer of 1000.
Swaz: My internet was disconnected yesterday due to some problems so ia m not sure when I'll be able to get online.I have locked my account if need be please lock this account.
Swaz:Accepted. If you know somebody..you can accept their requests...I don't mind.:)
Rhonda: There is a breeding request In Like Flynn from Midnight's Bully Breeds. I breed a lot with her with my Staffies. I'd like it if we could accept her request. Thanks.
Rhonda: We have quite a few dogs at 100 days today. Are we breeding Iron Resolve at least since she's level 50? Do you have a stud for her already? What do you think about the other three dogs that are 100? Should we breed any of them?
Swaz:I bred Jaaneman to In like Flynn and they had a nice litter.Check it out at my kennel.:)
Swaz:I got an extra collar statue piece and a chest piece so I transferred it here.:)
EDIT...Add a hindleg to that.
Rhonda: Thanks for getting the dogs for me. I will make it up to you. I can take care of the whole kennel tomorrow to give you a break, if you like.
Rhonda: I figured there weren't any good pups, so I didn't question it since I let you pick which pups to keep. Oh, well, better luck next time!
Swaz: OOPS we didn't kept any pups from the 2 litters......I totally forget to keep any and there was 1 that I wanted.EEKS!
Rhonda: I will transfer over some money for our kennel. I sold some stuff and now have some money to help out!
Rhonda: Thanks for showing the dogs!!
Swaz:Yeah my internet is causing some problem so I can't get on for a chunk of time before that.....But now they are all done...
Rhonda: Thanks. I got halfway through and then I had a phone call. I came back and the dogs were done. :-).
Swaz: I'll do the dogs today, I may get late with it though....
Rhonda: No problem. I didn't mind at all.
Swaz: Sorry I couldn't get on till late noon.....I swear I'll make it up to you.:)
Rhonda: There is another breeding request to Avera. This time the requester sent a message with the request. I think we should accept this request. I bought a good GSD from her, Thunder Bay. However, I will let you make the final decision.
Rhonda: There is a breeding request to Avera. I will let you decide whether to accept or reject the request.
Also, I will care for the dogs today. I hope all is well with you!
Rhonda: Thanks for doing the dogs. I couldn't get home yesterday in time to do them. I didn't get home until 12:30am. I'm sorry for that. I left the house at 12:30pm, but I didn't have my own car, so was at the mercy of another person. I will transfer over the fpp to re-elite now. Thanks Swaz!!!!
Swaz:I did the dogs......we will need to re-elite this account tonight.
Rhonda: Sorry, I've been so busy all day. I signed on at 11:15pm to show the dogs, but you had already done for me. Thanks!
I will check out the litters in your kennel.
Swaz:Ok...since I couldn't catch you the whole day, I transferred get this and Once in a Blue Moon to my kennel and bred them there.Check out the litter and you'll be surprised.I used Supafly for breeding....
Swaz:I owe you a big one!!thanks:)
Swaz:Yeah nice litter. You have selected the best pup :).On another note.Do not do dogs as I am going out but will get them done when I come back and will enter them in shows...so take the day off:)
Rhonda: I did the breedings for Black Pearl and Jewel. Take a look at the litters. Black Pearl's litter is pretty good, considering she has a fair in her genetics... no fairs in the litter! Let me know which of her pups you want to keep.
Rhonda: Are we doing a breeding for the 100 day old GSD female? If so, I think we should find a stud ASAP! Don't you? There are a couple of other GSD females that will need studs soon. I guess I could try and find a stud for the 100 day old female today.
Swaz:Sorry, I couldn't do them today,I will give you the details later on:).Kept both of the pups;)
Rhonda: The litter is great! I think for a female, either pup 1 or 7. If we want a male, then definately pup 2 since his boosted stats are 60/60.
I think we should retire the storebought Dobie pup since she has our kennel registration on her. We can just put in the notes section on her page that she has two fairs and doesn't stand up to our kennel quality we're going for.
Swaz: Check out the litter, which pups should we keep? Fading Passionsx Gabby
Swaz:Yeah I brought her from public sales at $650.I was thinking that perhaps we should retire the female with 2 fairs....or sell her off...She has no fair and an ex so yeah I kept her.
Rhonda: I'm glad you were able to sell the other FPP! I'm wondering why you bought that female Dobie pup? She doesn't look like she'd make a good addition to our kennel considering she's storebought. Do you see something in her I'm missing?
Swaz:I sold the 6 FPP for 500K each...so its 3 mill:)
Rhonda: I will take care of the dogs if you are not up to it tonight. I put the Dobie pups up for private sale that you had our ID # in their names and replied to the message from the stat boost host that the pups were ready to be bid on.
The stat boost itself isn't until Friday but I guess they're trying to get all the dogs bid on as quickly as possible. The stat boost has grown to a 140x boost!! We'll have some great Dobies to start our new line from!
Swaz:Well I was able to dot he dogs so yeah we are good.:)I'll be coming back late tonight so I am not sure if I'll be good enough to do the dogs tonight, so if I haven't done it by 11 in the morning please take care of them...I am leaving you enough food.Take Care
Rhonda: That's fine. Are you going to select the studs for each dog at breeding time? What happens when the dog is transferred to the other kennel? Will the breeding request follow the dog?
Swaz:I am transferring Gabby and I have mailed Brentsmom about her breeding, I think it is better if we just transfer the dogs to our kennel for breeding and just retire the female directly after breeding...What do you say?
Swaz:thats ok....You need to transfer Cash and Cali and retire them on your account.
Rhonda:I bought the other pair of Dobie pups. The female is ok this time and now the male is a disappointment with two fairs.
Swaz:Oh I would have put them up for sale but I reserved another 10 space....payment due on pickup. Will you take care of it?I thought I'll send them over after the turning of time at 12 so I thought we can put them up later during the day.
Rhonda: I'm sorry I couldn't get online last night to help put the dogs up for bid for the stat boost. We had computer problems with the wireless router and David was trying for hours to fix it. I finally went to bed.
I put the dogs up for the stat boost for private sale and have already deleted a bid on one of the dogs I know wasn't from the boost host.
I shouldn't have any problem getting back online to help you bid on the dogs after the boost is completed tomorrow. Everything seems to be working
Swaz:Nah the mistake is mine.....I forget to calculate earlier when will we have the 6 day pups.....and so I confused you too....I think we'll just have to keep all the pups...and buy more pups on 6th.the female pup will not be boosted though.Lets just keep her as buffer.
Rhonda: Whoops, I thought I was supposed to buy the Dobie pups today. I just saw your note to buy them on April 6th. Can we just switch it around and buy the GSD pups on that date instead? Sorry for my mixup!
Rhonda:I bought the Dobie pup pair. The male's genetics are ok (G/G/G/G). The female's is disappointing (G/F/F/G). Not sure what you want to do about that.
We did get our first 4X pup, though! We also got a lot of 3X-1G pups!
Rhonda:I named the newest pup. I also completed the breeding between Frighten Mornings x Sharmila. Some of the pups are pretty good, genetically. I left a note in the 'notes' box regarding them. I will make sure to buy the Dobie pair tomorrow when I sign on to show the dogs.
Swaz:I have worked on most of the things, the Imap is left, Which I plan to do tomorrow. The message requests that was put in for GSDs are accepted.Dobies are accepted but waiting approval on breeding request.
I have also made a breeding request to your breeding kennel for Sharmila. Please do the breeding and regular things with the pup:
