Here at LCDR we take in Collie Dogs that need a place to go urgently. We take in surrenders but also go out and buy low priced dogs to add to our shelter. If you would like to surrender a BC here, more information will be below.
Donations are a GREAT way to support our cause. We want to give a home to Collie Dogs that need it, and hope to expand more to give more. Your support could help us, and the dogs, greatly.
I do not accept any dog breed other than Border Collies at this time, I am focusing on just one breed. Very rarely will I accept a surrender or buy a dog of another breed. The majority of the time the surrender or the dog bought is strictly an Achievement dog.

Hello All!
I'm Atlas, and I run Leaps Collie Dog Rescue! I don't only rescue Borders but have a passion for genetics. You see, I am a snake owner (and soon to be breeder) so I kind of know some things. This game came back to me a few days ago, and I am loving it!
I have two goals for my time here on FP, and they are big ones!
1. I want my rescue to be successful, and very organized. I want it to be big!
2. I am currently buying BCs for my own breeding projects. My big one is doing some projects to get some perfect genetics, such as 24HH Border Collies!

If you would like to negotiate a price, PM me. If the dog has this symbol "*" in its name at the end it is NOT negotiable. I am normally open to negotiations, so this is rare.
ALL dogs within the sales are produced by me, and rarely aren't. The majority WILL have a prefix of "LCDR". This is so that I can look back on all the pups I have bred and compare, which I like to do. This is not 100% of the time, sometimes Dogs up for sale were not produced by me, however, this does not mean they won't have my Prefix. Below "Surrendering?" You can find my Prefix Policy.

Adoptions:

I am ecstatic that you are thinking of adopting a Border Collie from our shelter! Although not everyone gets the chance to take a LCDR dog into their Kennels. I take adoptions from my shelter very seriously, as I have worked hard to keep their happiness and health high for a long time.
Adoptions are exclusive to older dogs, if there is a younger dog listed below there was a mistake.

These dogs are not for sale, but they will have a rehoming fee. The fee is exclusive to that dog alone, depending upon certain criteria. There are requirements you must meet in order to adopt from LCDR, they are listed here:
1. Your level must be 7+
2. Your dogs must have their condition and happiness at 80%+
3. I will only accept adoptions if you actively care for and show/compete with your dogs.

You must be willing for the application process to take at least a day. The majority of the process will be longer, three days at max. This is so that I can monitor your activity with your dogs to make sure you qualify with the last requirement. If you do not agree to this term, then you will not be accepted. ONLY ONE DOG PER PLAYER EACH WEEK. Here is a list of how the days work:

Day One: Apply for a dog by PMing Atlas, have the link for the specific dog you would like to apply for ready and message that to her. Be sure to introduce yourself. Introductions normally help with the process. During this part of the process, I will list out the price for that specific dog.
Days Two & Three: These days will consist of overlooking your Kennels to see if ALL of your dogs are well cared for, as well as showed/trained/competed with. THIS is the most important part of the process, as if more than eight dogs are not well cared for by the end of each day (starts at day one), you will be disqualified. Day three is when accepted applicants will hear back.
If you do not hear back from me by day four, then assume you were not accepted. Thank You.

Surrendering?

I accept any surrender so long as it falls under these conditions:
1.The dog MUST be a Border Collie. If your dog is not of this breed, you will need to find a rescue specific to them, or one that takes most breeds.
2. I cannot guarantee anything when it comes to your dog 100%, things happen. So long as your dog is a BC there should be no problem that would cause them to be sold, surrendered to another rescue, or surrendered to the Humane society. Any other breed once the rescue is open again for other breeds, will NOT have this guarantee.
3. All surrenders are free! No exceptions will apply. If you would like to donate instead PM me and we will figure it out.

Prefix Policy:

Here at LCDR we take dogs seriously, even if this is just a "game". This is our Prefix Policy: ANY dog whom visits this shelter has a chance of getting the "LCDR" Prefix. This is due to the owner wishing to keep track of all dogs whom had visited but was either adopted or sold.
If ANY dog visits the shelter WITHOUT a Prefix, they will be given the listed Prefix above. If you would like a dog without a Prefix, PM me and we can work that out. HOWEVER, the price will be more for this, as I am giving up being able to track that dog here. Thank you.

Buying art from LCDR's founder is a huge way to help the dogs out and fund our rescue! I have always been "artsy" with the exception of being willing enough to share it, I never felt comfortable or that my art was good enough. I have finally come out of my shell enough to share, sell and trade some pieces! My collection is not nearly as big as others here, but I am hoping to make a big fat pink mark!
