Sequoia Kennels
I'm Weaving Eternity. You can also call me Weaver, if you like. I'm a disabled writer and aspiring scholar obsessed with several subjects. My disabilities preclude me from going back to school without more safeguards in place—mostly I'd need financial aid and a
lot of help with the chronic illnesses and all their nonsense—but I still dream about going back for a science degree. My keenest interests are in the natural sciences, particularly all things botany and chemistry, but I enjoy learning about other subjects, too. Especially history and the tangled webs we've woven around ourselves. I read voraciously and write with much the same passion. My primary genre is fantasy, branching out across multiple subgenres (including gaslamp fantasy and science fantasy), but I
do enjoy science fiction as well. Weaving is my biggest hobby outside of gaming and research. I've loved fiber arts forever, but weaving took the top slot and remains my favorite art. That is another wild dream of mine: owning multiple looms, from a rigid heddle to a floor loom to a proper tapestry loom. I've recently gotten into the thought of weaving tapestries, too.
My disabilities range from significant physical chronic illnesses to mental illnesses. The chronic illnesses include a lot of fatigue and pain, so I apologize if I'm slow to respond sometimes.
In real life, and on here, I have a profound love for herding dogs. I grew up with a German shepherd who taught me more than I could hope to explain here. Tangential meetings with a border collie and two border collie crosses solidified that love for me. One of these days, I want to have a rough collie or a Shetland sheepdog of my own. If I ever had land to share with a wife, I'd want a border collie or a border collie cross, too.
Sequoia Kennels focuses on rough collies, Shetland sheepdogs, smooth collies, and border collies. I'm not quite at the point of starting my lines just yet—I'm focusing on getting some of my achievements done first. I'd also like to hit level 20 before I start building my lines. I do have a roadmap planned, though.
The overall goal for my lines is 24HH lala, focused on herding, agility, and tracking sports. My goal is quadruple int dogs (so intint intint). I don't factor color into my breeding, but I do have a particular love for bi black and bi blue, as well as darker sables and tricolor (and blue merle).
