About the Kennel Since I joined FP in August '06, Cider Creek Kennels has been devoted to showing high-quality Dutch Shepherds. Since April '07, I have added German Pinschers to my kennels. I have no plans to start any other breeds at this time. |
Breeding Policies -Your dog must be over level fifteen. -You must show all of your dogs every day. Your dogs must also all be in top condition (with the exception of grooming, since I appreciate that it's only really worth it to groom just before showing). -Your breeding requirement must be a minimum of level 10. -If you ever decide not to keep a puppy, please offer me the sale back first. -Stud prices are not negotiable. If a dog is not up for stud, message me, especially if it happens to be a bitch. I very occasionally will lease my bitches to a good player. Don't message me about dogs under L15, however. I do not breed these dogs outside my kennel. -I prefer not to closely inbreed. Please make sure that the dog you want to breed mine to is not closely related to it (e.g., not more than one same grandparent). -If you are interested in breeding to one of my studs, you need to message me or make the request early. I almost always retire dogs immediately after I breed them for the last time. I charge a flat stud fee and don't raise it over time, so don't worry about that. Selling Policies -All dogs sold from my kennel carry my prefix. This is so that I can check up on them later. -You must be at least an Experienced Competitor. Star Competitor is preferred. -You must have a breeding limit of at least level 10. -Specialization in the breed you buy from me is preferred. -You must show all dogs in maximum shows (30 for nonelite, 50 for elite) and keep all dogs in top condition. Grooming is excepted, as I appreciate that it only makes sense to groom dogs before showing them. -Selling prices reflect the time and money I have invested in the dog. They are not negotiable. -If you ever do not want the dog any more, please sell it back to me first. -Basic accounts have exactly as much chance of buying a dog from me as elite accounts do, all other things being equal. -All litters bred will have open second pick slots for reserve. With rare exceptions, I only keep one pup per litter. Feel free to message me regarding second picks on any litter that only has one or none out of two puppies kept. I do not keep puppies past the litter if they are not spoken for, so if you want a puppy, you must message me while they are still in the litter. All puppies reserved will come double-trained in the show of your choice, played with, run through my 56-rated training area, and genotyped. Do not request a named puppy. No puppy with a name is up for reserve; if I have given a puppy a name, I intend to keep it. -If you reserve a puppy from one of my litters and do not pick it up within the day, unless you have made prior arrangements with me I will assume that you do not want it and put it up for open sale. -If a given litter is particularly excellent, I may auction it. This is rare, however, and I will always mark it as such in its notes. I reserve the right to black-list anyone who violates any of my policies regarding my terms. Moreover, if I learn you have ever violated a buying agreement with someone else, I reserve the right to refuse to sell to you. |
Weeell, to make a long story short, Sola is currently a 19-year-old college sophomore. I have strong interests in languages, neurology, genetics, psychology, behavior, animals in general and dogs in particular. In fact, I am a double-major in Psychology and Genetics. I am currently considering careers in animal behavior, linguistics, veterinary medicine, and neurology. I do not currently have a dog of my own, although my family dog Oliver, a possible Pembroke Welsh Corgi/Border Terrier crossbreed, is standing in until such time as I have the resources and time to responsibly keep one. I enjoy talking, but do not message me unless you have something to talk about. I don't mind chatting about your dogs, or about posts on fora, or about FP gossip or whatever. What I hate is posts like "Can I be your friend?" The answer is always no--friends are earned, not asked for! I do love messages about my dogs--with very few exceptions, yattering on with me about my lines (especially my Dutch Shepherd lines) is a great way to get on my good side, as is talking about my real dogs if you happen to know about them. |
Will you sponsor me? No. I've tried the sponsor thing and it always works out badly, at least for me, since I don't do art and therefore typically have to pay for every FPP I use. I will not be sponsoring again, ever. Can I buy your dogs? Only if they are a) actually up for sale, and b) if you meet my selling requirements. I very rarely sell levelled adults. However, if you see a dog on private sale that is not named Reserved for _______, feel free to make a bid. I almost never transfer my dogs between kennels. Will you buy my dog? Not unless it's a) got L15+ parents, b)has excellent genes, and c) is one of my breeds, and even then it isn't likely. While I do sometimes buy L1-bred and store dogs off of public sale, I never buy any dogs of this type that I am messaged about. Can I be your friend? No. I firmly believe in MAKING friends. Incidentally, chatspeak is a really good way to lose all respect I might have for you, as is neglecting basic rules of grammar. Please note that if you disregard this and message me requesting to be my friend, I will block you. Messaging me with just about any other topic (Latin, dogs, etc.) is fine. Can I have some money/some FPP/a rare item from you? I have no idea why I've been getting these, but no. I NEVER give items away. FP dogs won't be hurt if you don't feed them and I feel it only encourages beggers if they get something. Frankly, I don't like encouraging laziness. If I have a rare item up for sale, it will be on the trading post. If you can meet my price, make an offer. Do not expect me to lower prices because you message me. |
The Scheduled Breedings section lists current and upcoming litters. Strikethroughs indicate that the secondary slot on this litter is reserved. Feel free to request a reservation otherwise, as long as you observe the Selling Regulations. Scheduled Breedings None coming up soon. November 26, 2007- Have unlocked all dogs. Also, have acquired fursona--Mickey died a few weeks ago, and I no longer want to use him. September 20th, 2007- And the number of dogs was STILL too much, even after selling the Ibizans. I have NOT sold my Dutch Shepherd and German Pinscher lines, however, and have no plans to do so. They are currently locked in a side account until I have more time to take care of them. September 16, 2007- Due to time constraints, I can no longer look after the number of dogs that I currently have. Doing three breeds seriously is just too much work for me on top of working, writing college applications, writing scholarship applications, and taking my rather tough course-load. Rather than leave FP altogether because I can't take care of my dogs, I am getting out of Ibizan Hounds. I will be selling dogs until all Ibizan Hounds save my BB dogs are out of my kennel. July 29, 2007- Well, I'm back for good now. It's time to update the upcoming breedings list, I suppose--but I'm far too lazy to do it just now. Heh. For those who wonder, I won't be leaving again this summer. June 25, 2007- Have now bred all remaining litters until I go on to summer school and lock account on the first. Got a 16-HH 4E out of the Aziraphael litter! I'm quite pleased with the quality there genetically. June 20, 2007- Bred Charybdis and Astyanax as well as a surprise test breeding of Candy Kisses and Gnothi Sauton. Got two 20-HH 4E puppies! Am holding an auction for the second slot on that litter on the dog sales board. Whoever has the highest bid on noon of the pups' sixth day will get the slot. As for the the JRT litter, it had double speed boosts! June 17, 2007- Got back from Mexico yesterday night, unlocked this morning. Hurrah! Sent Sam's Ibizan puppy number one into locking on my breeding account (as well as my pick, to synchronize ages). Have updated the Scheduled Breedings list until my next absence, which will commence Sunday, July 1st. I will be gone for two weeks this time. I love the new changes to the site! It's going to be interesting figuring them out. June 8, 2007- Got my layout in, yay! :D I will be locking my account and going to Mexico for a week on Saturday. I expect to be back on Saturday, June 16. Note: The Scheduled Breedngs list refers to upcoming breedngs within the month or before my next lock-up date (as I will be locking up quite a bit next month). |
