Lumos Maxima Kennels
At Lumos Maxima (LUMOS) we are concerned with the quality and happiness of our dogs. There are a variety of breeds at our kennel, however our main specializations are Siberian Huskies and English Setters. We also make an effort to adopt dogs from the HSFP and try a variety of new breeds.

What we do
LUMOS attempts to create high achieving dogs from lines bred from first generation (pet store bought dogs). We try to create high standard dogs from OWN lines, and all dogs are given the prefix; LUMOS. The kennel also rehabilitates dogs from the HSFP, no matter their genetics/age or quality. We are constantly expanding our variety of breeds, in order to achieve high standards in a range of sports. :D

Our Sledding Team AS OF: 25/11/13 - CURRENT
A popular feature of our kennel is our astounding sledding team, headed by our two Alaskan Huskies; Marco (1) and Polo (2). The Alaskan Husky is a strong and robust breed, while Marco and Polo make a great pair. The next set of dogs in our team are Karina (3) and Audrey (4), these two are our faster Siberian Huskies, keeping up the pace of our sledding team! Following this pair are Canyon (5) and Diablo (6), who's position in the middle of the team means that the stamina of the team is regulated so the sled can travel at its full potential. Finally, at the back of the team is Belle (7) and Marlow (8). These two are our strongest Siberian Huskies, and create momentum at the back of the sled, meaning that the sled can go forward faster.

LUMOS strives to breed and train dogs to the best of their abilities. In the future we aim to add other sledding breeds to our kennel, such as the Alaskan Husky. We believe that sledding is an important sport, as our breeds require a lot of exercise and discipline.

Our English Setters
The English Setter are the second main breed to be specialized in our kennel. We aim to breed quality English Setters who excel in Charisma, Stamina and Strength. The breed is known for being highly intelligent and beautiful, and come in a combination of colours. LUMOS is lucky to own some less common coloured English Setters, and hopefully will breed more uncommon colours in the future. Compared to other breeds, there are statistically less active English Setters on FP, and so we aim to breed quality, high leveled setters to FP.

Our Other Dogs
LUMOS aims to expand our knowledge and ability of dealing with different breeds of dogs. Occasionally we will select a breed to raise in our kennel, or aim to expand lines in a different breed. We also regularly check the HSFP, adopting dogs regardless of condition/age/level or quality as we believe all dogs have potential. These dogs are usually not bred if they have poorer genetics, however they are still leveled to the highest possible quality and treated the same as our professionally competing dogs. All dogs rescued from the HSFP will have 'RESCUE' in their name. If you wish to adopt one of these dogs, please place a bid FREE OF CHARGE or at an amount you'd wish to donate. We are not a official rescue and are happy to keep the dogs on our hands, however if you can potentially provide a good home than we have no problem handing a dog over! :)
