I am very very unlikely to buy characters who need permission to breed. absolutely anything that can be reclaimed for any reason. if i buy it, it belongs to me. I am less likely to buy breeding rules which require a pup being given to the designer [because it's one more thing to remember] I really like Free to breed- obviously. Never to be reclaimed. Colorful designs. moderate-to-Complicated markings.
Why do I care so much? Because some of the genres i play like to take characters when you're inactive and put them up for adoption, and as a result, i am VERY possessive of my characters. I own them, i can do what i want with them, they are mine. :| But i do understand that others may not feel this way, so i seek out rules that i can follow when adopting a character. I consider rules to be a contract i agree to by buying; I cannot see the future, so imposing rules on me retroactively in the future is incredibly unfair. Thus, I will only obey rules present at the time of sale. Please, if you do care, specify rules. it's safer for everyone.
Things I do with my characters: Breed them, save their files on my personal computer, upload htem to my personal websites, write them profiles, roleplay them, shift them to other genres (like pern) and roleplay them, draw them as anthros/humans/quads, words

Breeding/Roleplaying/Relationships Feel free to suggest single breedings, long-term mates, etc. FP-based thread (may not be as frequently updated)
