About our kennel

At Ladybird Collies (‹lb›) we are dedicated to producing high quality Collie Rough & Collie Smooth dogs across multiple different disciplines. In an effort to showcase how versatile these breeds are, our ultimate goal is to have our collies on all corners of the score boards across as many different sports as they are capable of.

To achieve this in our breeding we are:

• First and foremost focusing on the aptitude our collies, watching closely throughout their career and choosing to breed those whom have performed the best in their given sport.
• Selecting collies with stats most appropriate to help them excel at their given sport.
• Selecting collies with a tendency for medium or large litters to ensure we have a good selection of pups to choose from for each litter.
• And of course we only choose to breed from collies who are good or excellent in all their health scores with the goal of having overall excellent health.

Breeding requests

If you're interested in using our stud services please drop Ratlet (#51904) a message. Even if we don't have a particular dog that you're interested in available for public stud we're more than willing to open stud services for the right bitch.

Ladybird "Originals"

For these projects we're aiming to keep all in-house dogs exclusive to Ladybird (and store bought) lines without contributions from other kennels. However we are of course still happy to offer their stud services to others.

Speedy Smooths (Agility Collie Smooths)

Currently on generation 2. We have bred out the small litter gene and are currently working on attaining agility stat boosts.

High Ballers (Flyball Collie Smooths)

Currently on generation 1.

Music Makers (Musical Freestyle Collie Roughs)

Currently on generation 1.

Scented Smooths (Scent Hurdle Collie Smooths)

Currently on generation 1.

Show Ponies (Show Collie Roughs)

Currently on generation 2. We are working on breeding these guys in house for the best quality genes before showing to their full potential. We have successfuly bred out the small litter genes and are currently working on attaining intelligence stat boosts.

Collie Versatility

Our ultimate goal is to have collies on the score boards across as many different disciplines as possible. These projects are going towards this goal. We're happy to outcross with other kennels stock for these projects.

Wet Dogs (Dock Diving Old English Sheepdogs)

Currently on generation 2. I started these guys because the idea of having professional athlete level OES's doing dock diving is hilarious to me. But don't get me wrong, I'm sure they could do it IRL!

Flappy Sloughis (Flyball Sloughis)

Currently on generation 1. We started these guys as part of a breed boost challenge and hope to continue with them.

SwissCheesies (Flyball Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs)

Currently on generation 1. We started these guys as part of a breed boost challenge and hope to continue with them.

Joint Projects

Nimble Navigators (Agility Collie Roughs)

Currently on generation 2. This is a joint breeding project with Aely (#830). We have bred out the small litter gene and are currently working on attaining speed stat boosts.

Herding Roughs (Herding Collie Roughs)

Currently on generation 1. This is a joint breeding project with Aely (#830). We are working on breeding these guys in house for the best quality genes before showing to their full potential.

Carps (Obedience Carpathian Shepherds)

Currently on generation 3. This is a joint breeding project with Aely (#830). We are working on breeding these guys in house for the best quality genes before showing to their full potential.

Munsters (Field Trial Large Munsterlanders)

Currently on generation 1. This is a joint breeding project with Aely (#830). We are working on breeding these guys in house for the best quality genes before showing to their full potential.
