About Elyse

I've been playing this game for a while. In every day life, I'm 24, married and have a 3yo yorkie/chi/pom mix named Vera, and a mahogany sable borzoi named Zaria, who I will be showing as she gets older! You can follow their new tumblr here! I'm a recent college graduate, having majored in Russian Language & Literature and minored in Linguistics and I work as a Voice User Interaction Designer. In my spare time, you'll find me at the Wild Wolf Society, a realistic wolf role playing game, where I've written off and on for several years. Wolf town for life! :) Otherwise, I'm also a photographer who specializes in maternity through first year portraiture (including birth photography services) and pet photography (including breeder specific photography services). That about sums me up!

About Beryoza Kennels

Birch trees are a kind of national symbol for Russians, and "beryoza" is the word for birch transliterated into English. Beryoza Kennels spans my three FP accounts, including this one (my primary account), my secondary training account, and my tertiary breeding account. Between these three kennels, I specialize in Borzoi, Wire Fox Terriers and German Wirehaired Pointers. All my dogs carry the prefix BRZA, and you can see every dog I've ever owned/bred here. From time to time I may participate in breed boosts or help a friend with a breed, however.

General Breeding Philosophy

Beryoza Kennels breeds for health, diverse physical appearance, statistics and large litter sizes. We do engage in line-breeding from time to time, but try to keep it loose and prefer to use quality outside studs and bitches when we can.

• Future Goals
• Dogs will be put up for stud at age 30 or level 15 (level minimum will increase with each generation), whichever comes first.
  Stud terms are open to negotiation. Prices listed are just a starting point. Most any arrangement is possible.
• Bitches will only be bred at ages 76, 88 and 100.
• Matches will be made with the following priorities (in order):
  1. Health
  2. Coats (looking for diversity, rarity)
  3. Appropriate stats boosts for breed
     • Borzoi: Agility, Charisma, Speed, Stamina
     • Wirehaired Fox Terriers: Agility, Intelligence, Speed, Strength
     • German Wirehaired Pointers: Charisma, Speed, Stamina, Strength
  4. Littersize (lala)
• Ensuring a healthy line is important to me, but so is ensuring a physically diverse and appropriately stat’ed line. To that end, I might sometimes make breeding decisions that place health slightly lower. Regardless:
  • Dogs/bitches with any fairs or poors will never be bred.
  As a result:
  • All proposed pairings will be run through a genetic health calculator. If there stands a good chance of a litter yielding a fair or poor, they will not be bred, unless there is also a high probability for coat rarity and/or stat boosting.
    If, however, there is an almost certain chance of fair or poor, that specific pair will not be bred
• In further generations, I will actively look for studs for my bitches to avoid tight line breeding and to help further my above stated goals.
